The High Loose was designed to be worn extra-relaxed, harnessing all the “it” girl energy we loved from the ’90s. “Baggy jeans were the coolest jeans you could own in the late ’90s,” explains Jill Guenza, our VP of Women’s Design. “They were slouchy and stacked at the ankle and provided an easy, offbeat counterpoint to the preppy styles of the ’80s.” We updated the style by adding a super-high rise, which we love for its waist-defining benefits, and refining the shape so you get a vintage-y, loose look that feels a bit more modern.

For fall, we’re excited to spotlight our High Loose Taper. Giving you that high, flattering waistline and relaxed style but with a stacked, tapered leg. In other words, it’s a cute update to the traditional mom jean. Pro tip: If you want to really make a statement, size up and cinch with a belt. You’ll get a more extreme and*very* modern silhouette.
